A Database driven example

This is a simple illustration of Asp2 net technology written in 2006 / 2007.

This was draft 1 of a demo. Because it was a demo some of the links work but most do not.

It is included here purely as an example of a simple database application which by including ADMIN pages turns the application into a CMS system.

Within these few example pages some of the information is held within a database, some is hardcoded within the page. The final demo release of the homepage (which is not included here) all the page information was loaded via a database so was changeable by the 'site owner'.

If you are interested contact us and we will unlock the Admin link at the top so you can get an idea of the type of entry which would need to be made to update the database. You will be able to play around with the data but please be aware of the sensitivities of other users who might read the page after you.

Usually the AMIN pages would only be accessed by the site owner and the site webmaster and would not show on the menu options.

The information within the Role page(s) is all fed to the page via a database as is some of the Training information.

There are a huge number of pages involved with the original demo, at least a 100, so hopefully you wont get too lost as I have disabled the links to most of it. However, should you find yourself in a place that you really don't wish to be then use the 'Main Site Home' link to take you back to the main site. Should you receive a 400 error or someother asp related error then please press your back button a few times.

Our site is designed to provide straight forward information on training. Whether you are new to training or are returning to find another course we are here to offer you assistance and advice. Please do not hesitate to contact us, the remodelling team», with any queries which you might have.

We have tried to keep Role descriptions and related Role training information under 4 main role Categories. Role links are always in red

Dependant upon where you are within the site clicking one of those links will take you to related Role information.

Finally, we are considering providing a page for each role category where comments sent to us can be posted for others to learn from. Please let us know what you think.»
